Chorlton Big Green Festival fundraising Celidh with the Beech Band will be on Saturday 11th February 2012 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 / £3 concessions and are available online here and at Hickson and Black's on Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton. The band will be performing at Chorlton Irish Centre, 17 High Lane, Chorlton Manchester M21 9DJ

The next planning meeting for the 2012 festival is on Thursday, 9th Feb, 8pm upstairs at St Clement's Church. Please come along if you're interested or contact us here if you want to be involved but can't make it this time. Further meetings will be on Feb 23rd, Mar 8th and Mar 22nd 2012.

Chorlton's Big Green Festival is an annual celebration of sustainable living in Manchester which offers a vibrant mix of live music and performance, hands-on practical workshops, food and drink, arts and swaps, and much more. Best of all, entry to the festival is completely free!

Chorlton's Big Green Festival launched in April 2009 with an estimated 4,000 people joining in the green festivities. CBFG 2012 expects an even bigger response! Each year the festival activities are based on a different theme and 2012 is no exception to the rule. Following 2011 'Bike to the Future' theme, which saw many local residents take to the streets for the green bike parade, the team at Green Chorlton have this year chosen 'The World In Chorlton' with a view to expand the festivals reach to other community and cultural groups.'The World In Chorlton' represents the celebration of all things local and cultural and promises a varied range of fantastic entertainment and activities for the whole family.
